Getting Backlinks from Forums
Posted by admin on June, 10th 2010
As with a lot of SEO methods writing unique and interesting content can work wonders to your site without any fancy tricks. If you’re a passionate writer then congratulations you have what it takes to keep writing content and reap the rewards in the long run!
You don’t have to just write content on your own site, it’s very important to promote your website throughout the internet on related sites (and that means getting backlinks from these sites).
There are forums on the internet on all kinds of subjects from “SEO” to “Swimming”, you can easily spot the biggest ones by simply Googling: “[subject] forum”
You can add a backlink to your site on most forums, look at the user profile section and also try and add your backlink into the signature under your post. A signature backlink would be shown everytime you post and if you’re posting about the subject you’re interested in then it’s no trouble to do!
Keep posting on forums in your related area, you’ll also meet other people interested in the same things and are likely to make friends or business partners. Remember to make every post you do useful to the reader and that way you won’t get banned or ignored. Also some people enter forums and post copied content or internet jokes, these help NOBODY and it’s a very quick way to get the forum admin annoyed.
Top Tip: Post on several forums instead of concentrating on one. If one forum removed all signature links then you could lose all of your backlinks if that was the only one you posted in! Spread out any risk and don’t put all your eggs in one basket!
