Lowering Risk with Inbound Link Building
Posted by admin on May, 12th 2010
When you’re creating and finding inbound links to your site there’s a risky way to do things and a non-risky way.
You could find an amazing place to create inbound links and go crazy; this may be within a forum signature or a social media profile. You could amass literally thousands of backlinks by messaging everyday on one site which gave away DoFollow links. A lot of big community sites have a high page rank which makes backlinks more powerful so many SEO companies use this technique om a regular basis.
But wait, disaster could happen when the site either shuts down, removes profile links or changes all outgoing links to NoFollow (making them useless!).
If you put all your eggs in one basket then one day you could run into disaster!
Rely on one source of backlinks and you could one day find that they have all disappeared and you have to start your SEO backlinking from scratch all over again! The recent change of Yedda meant that a lot of lazy SEO workers got stung as they removed profile links site-wide on the 10th of May.
Make sure to create links from a wide range of sites, this looks more impressive to Google and minimises risk overall in your SEO strategy.
